Anecia Lee, MA, LPCS, NCC, BC-TMH
My name is Anecia Brooks Lee and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS), in the state of North Carolina. I received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University and my Bachelors in Sociology with a Concentration in Criminal Justice from UNC-Pembroke. I have continued my education at North Central University with the hopes of one day obtaining my PhD.
Roger and I have been married for 30 years and have two adult sons. Our oldest is Blane, who is a Fireman for Archer Lodge Fire Department. He is married to the former Deanna Batten and they are the parents to our two grand babies, Ella Grace and Adalyn Ruth. Our youngest son Jonathon, currently serves as a Sheriffs Deputy for Johnston County and is married to the former Taylor Hockaday. Apart from the grandbabies God will bless us with in the future, this makes up my amazing family. To learn more about my background and approach to therapy, please see my Disclosure Statement located in the Forms section.

My Approach
I ascribe to an eclectic approach to counseling as well as a collaborative approach. I like an eclectic approach because I believe that oftentimes various theories can be used to assist the clients I serve. These theories include but are not limited to; person-centered, gestalt, cognitive, behavioral, solution-focused, family systems, emotionally focused couples’ therapy (EFT), EMDR and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) for trauma clients, and on occasion play therapy with younger clients. As noted, I also use a collaborative approach in that I believe that the client and counselor must work together toward successful results. The client populations I work with include families, adults, couples, children, and groups. The client will be expected to journal, participate in intense discussions (individually or within groups if appropriate), and be prepared to work, both in and outside of the counseling session(s). Upon request, I will utilize a faith-based perspective when working with clients which includes prayer and the use of scripture.
